Welcome from the New Owners

Hello, from Benefit Your Life Gluten Free Market and Bakery! December 1 was a big day here! It marked the start of new ownership and an amazing adventure! We are very excited to build upon and grow the business Rhoni and John Speed have built for the last few years. We were customers long before we decided to purchase the bakery. It is a wonderful place for us to enjoy a gluten free, allergy friendly treat. With multiple food allergies and sensitivities, we get it! We hope we can provide help and support to others struggling with food allergies, food sensitivities, special dietary requirements, and food-related health problems. Even if you do not have any food restrictions, BYL is just an awesome little bakery and market, AND the food is delicious!

We do have some exciting plans for the bakery; however, we don’t plan on changing much. You will still enjoy the same delicious foods made with high quality ingredients. You will still walk into the bakery and feel right at home. You will still see the same helpful, smiling faces. Yes, the BYL team is still here, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. These ladies are amazing!

Last week was a fun first week! We are so thankful for all the existing customers, new customers, family and friends who stopped in to visit us! Please refer your friends, family and coworkers. We need to get the word out. Happy As we head into 2016, we invite you to come in for a visit!

Benefit Your Life is Knoxville’s only gluten free bakery. We have chosen the following mission: We shall try our very best every day to change lives for the better through greeting with a smile, offering help and advice, offering encouragement, supporting our local community and helping people to eat delicious, high quality food and to create a more simple natural life.

We plan to use this newsletter to share information about gluten free products we think are great, our bakery items and specialties, events, recipes, latest research and information related to a gluten free lifestyle, and much more.

Join us Monday, December 14 from Noon - 2:00pm for a fun cooking event! BYL is hosting Julie Morrison, local author of the popular "Survive & Thrive Gluten Free" cookbook. Julie has hit a home run with this very user friendly and practical cookbook full of delicious recipes. Julie’s experience with a celiac disease diagnosis has helped her to create amazing resources with her cookbook and website (Gluten-Free-Way.com) to smooth the transition to a gluten free lifestyle. Copies of Julie’s cookbook will be available at the bakery soon.

We invite you to take a break from the holiday hustle and bustle and join us for a fun event to learn about gluten free food preparation with a menu including:

The cost for the event is $30 per person. Please call the bakery at 865-288-3193 to reserve your space. Space is limited to the first 12 to sign up. The event fee is due at time of reservation.
